Despite the rich experience, the Chinese model is not a panacea. Developing countries need to be vigilant about the following points when drawing lessons:

  1. 债务可持续性 (Debt Sustainability)

For latecomers, the biggest opportunity lies in "changing lanes to overtake."

中国正在经历基建的绿色化和数字化转型。光伏公路、特高压输电、智慧城市和数字支付网络正在重塑基建的定义。发展中国家不应重复西方“先污染后治理”的老路,而应直接对接中国的绿色低碳技术,利用新基建降低对传统资源的依赖。

China is undergoing the greening and digital transformation of infrastructure. Photovoltaic roads, ultra-high voltage transmission, smart cities, and digital payment networks are reshaping the definition of infrastructure. Developing countries should not repeat the old Western path of "polluting first, treating later," but should directly connect with China's green and low-carbon technologies, using new infrastructure to reduce dependence on traditional resources.

As the Global South seeks recovery today, this pragmatic, development-oriented model is more important than ever.
